The big moment in the team's history started from 2003 when we developed the first commercial Intrusion Prevention System based on Snort-in-line. Through the following 20 odd  years we supported enterprises all over the world with network and end point security solutions. We are currently providing engineering and support services for everything security.

The team at CounterSnipe includes some of the top guys in the industry serving in various roles including consulting, engineering, and logistics and customer services. 

The business is lead by Amar Rathore. Having studied OND in Technology,  and then BSc Electronic Engineering from University of Sussex in the UK, Amar started his career as Field Applications Engineer helping customers designing products using National Semiconductor micro-controller chips. That then followed with his two year spell at Western Digital as Product Marketing Manager for the WD network cards. Thus the journey into the world of TCP/IP networking began.

Fast forward 30 or so years, having supported 100s of customers of all sizes, today Amar is supporting customers with CNAPP cloud security solutions, End Point Security and all other security and identity management technologies. Amar launched some of the key products into Europe, including Sourcefire (SNORT) and Foundstone (VA) a business co-founded at the time by the founder of Crowdstrike.

Throughout his business years Amar held the role of Technical Director/CTO alongside his CEO responsibilities. Amar supported and trained teams of IT/Security personnel from some of the largest enterprises such as Reuters, Barclays, ING, Access Financial, CW Capital, Capita, CHS Medical, covering subjects such as TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS rule writing, SNORT and Suricata. Today Amar is engaged heavily with all of the cloud security suites and working on assisting businesses with understanding DevSecOps and other aspects of ASPM, CSPM and cloud security.
